The Idol Dead

When Tim Jeffs saw Polly Phluid bounding about on a festival stage with his former band, Phluid, he thought ‘I’d like to be in a band with him one day’ … and, never a man to miss an opportunity, a few years later he got the chance and invited Polly for a jam. That Jam included Tim’s mate Nish on drums – the three fellas got along like a house party aflame and before long some pretty cool tunes were stomping round the room demanding attention.Best form a band then … and they did.

Miguel Luque landed in Leeds to study music less than a month later and, spotting and ad in shop, applied for the bass player job.

Polly struggled on as singer/rhythm guitarist until KC Duggan came screaming into the fray throwing big chords and razor-sharp cheekbones around the place.

This is when that ‘band magic’ happened and these 5 lads thought they were really on to something.

The Idol Dead became a ten legged, riff-hungry entertainment machine – with songs catchier than Ebola and melodies sweeter than sugar-dipped strawberries.

Later Mig was accepted to study Jazz in London and reluctantly left the fray … step up to the plate Dan Sugden. He couldn’t have been more different from Miguel – a tee-total, man-mountain hewn from the very rock of Calderdale, but he fitted in perfectly

Now, The Idol Dead are looking into a bright new future and planning the rock assault of the decade … keep your eyes on these boys, they’d love to rock your world.

Monster Jaw

Monster Jaw were formed in February 2013 by charismatic frontman and songwriter Mik Davis and feature bassist Neil Short and drummer John Bradford. Dedicated young musicians hailing from the gritty Northern cities of Leeds and Bradford UK, this dynamic and highly creative trio make resonant and atmospheric Garage Grunge rock with a heavy, exciting feel coupled with electrifying super-tight stage shows that have seen them gain respect and admiration throughout the UK.

They have recently recorded an EP/mini-album, 'Get A Tattoo' with London-based Belgian engineer-producer Wes Maebe who's credits include The Libertines, Roger Waters, New Model Army and Paul Rogers. The title track 'Get A Tattoo' was inspired by their own tattoo experiences, friends who own popular tattoo studios and the outlaw tattoo lifestyle.

Above all Monster Jaw are a movement, a definite feeling, you only have to see the art behind the band, the vibe of their rehearse space, not to mention the skulls & flower decorated tour van, to realise that there is much more going on here, than just another rock band.

Monster Jaw are currently Unsigned.

Test Transmission (Acoustic)

Test Transmission are a post-rock/grunge trio from Leeds and Harrogate. Harsh, male vocals twin with melodic female vocals, soaring above a dark ambiance, brought about by effect-driven guitars, heavy undertones and powerful drum beats.

“Dark, ambient music is normally subtle by nature, and to create that effect while still retaining their rock sound is something which Test Transmission should be respected for. A lot of the musical ideas on this EP show that this is not only a band full of good musicians but also good song writers.” – Leeds Music Scene
